There have been moments in my business where I questioned every single person on my team—why are they even here?
There have been moments where I wanted to burn it all down—and I’ll admit, some of my dumb decisions probably sparked fires that didn’t need to be there.
But in those moments, when I finally stepped back and took a real look at what was happening, I realized that I was actually the problem in most of the cases. I was the pyromaniac that had to be kicked out of the driver’s seat.
It’s tough to admit, but it’s true. And it’s even harder to realize that if you don’t take the time to look at what’s really going on—until you’re buried in soot, smoke, and ash. I guess I can take solace in knowing that I'm not alone. Knowing that one of the biggest money draining, energy taking, and sanity disabling issues for many business owners is questioning their team and why it feels like "if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself". But that feeling straight up sucks. So instead of throwing myself a pity party with ‘yay, I’m not alone’ balloons, I’m going to cut to the chase and help you understand why you might be feeling that way.
